iTech Expo 2022 held at IUBAT

The Tech-event iTech Expo IUBAT 2022 was held at International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT).

The ‘Astonafa and Reliant Presents iTech Expo – IUBAT 2022’ as ​​part of India’s largest tech event in Asia, the ‘Techfest IIT Bombay’ was held on 22nd and 23rd November. The six winning teams will represent Bangladesh in the international event to be held in Mumbai, India.

More than 500 students from 40 universities and colleges participated in the two-day event organized at the IUBAT campus in Uttara of the capital. The six segments of the event included International Robowar Bangladesh Zonal, Soccer Bot Championship, Line Follower Robot Challenge, Robo Racing Championship, Project Exhibition etc. Winners in all segments received a total of Tk. 1 lakh 65 thousand as prize money.

On the closing day of the two-day program, the Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Abdur Rob was present as the chief guest. Moreover, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Abedin, Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain and BNCC Ramna regiment Commander Lt. Colonel Rahat Newaz and many others were present as special guests.

Md. Monirul Islam, Dean, College of Engineering of IUBAT presided over the program. The opening speech was delivered by the head of the EEE department Dr. Ratan Kumar Nandi and the closing speech was given by Engineer Md. Abul Bashar. Moreover, the overall supervision of the program was rendered by Md. Kamruzzaman, the President of IUBAT Robotics Club.
